Last weekend, Wolfman and I attended the last wedding before our own. Although it was the second wedding we’d been to while engaged, it was the first time I had those surreal “this is going to be YOU soon”? thoughts. Many of the guests are friends of ours so we got a lot of “you’re next!”? comments”?simultaneously romantic and terrifying.
During cocktail hour”?
”?and closer to the end of the evening. Obviously.
During most weddings we’ve been to before, I’ve been really conscious of the logistics: What order did the family walk in? What did they do for a guestbook? Where did they put their gift table? This time, I was just hyper-aware of how quickly the night went by. Maybe because I’m close with the bride and know how much she put into the planning process—or because I know how much I’m obsessing over those details myself. I know there won’t be anything I can do to slow down time when our wedding rolls around,徐小姐, but all you Missuses out there—any advice for making sure to enjoy the moment? What did you do to savor your big day?
